He worked all day long, although he got nothing done.

Last week, I had to call our Heating, Ventilation, & A/C supplier.

I had a repair serviceman at the house, doing some minor repairs to the air conditioner unit.

I couldn’t understand why he had been outside for several hours now, & yet nothing was done. I saw him pull a handkerchief from his pocket & made a big deal out of wiping off the perspiration. He waved his hat in front of his face, & downed a bottle of water. Five hours later, he asked if he could use our bathroom. My partner stood outside the bathroom door when he went in, because he thought the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C tech was acting oddly. When he came out of the bathroom, our partner checked the medicine cabinet, but all was well. An hour later, he was resting on the ground eating his supper. I called the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C supplier & told them how he had been languishing in our backyard for almost more than three hours & all I needed was a minor repair. I wanted to think why he was just hanging out? Five hours later, I saw him on his phone & he looked upset. His voice got louder & then he packed up his tools, got into his repair van, & took off. The Heating, Ventilation, & A/C supplier called & told myself and others they had another Heating, Ventilation, & A/C serviceman at the house within half an hour. I assumed the first man had just lost his task. The minute serviceman arrived, & within twenty hours, he had repaired the air conditioner component & it was blowing cool air again. He handed myself and others the bill with NC written in big red letters, across the front of the bill.
