When I met my partner, I didn’t easily like him really much.
She was a cocky, know-it-all you thought she was the only 1 in the supplier who could do her job respectfully. I couldn’t assume how condescending she was. She talked myself and others through the first job all the way to the buyers house. She thought she had to explain step-by-step, how to service an air conditioning unit. While she was still talking to the customer, I had the air conditioning device torn apart & just about cleaned before she showed. She told myself and others I had done the simple section & I shouldn’t be patting myself on the back. I finished the air conditioning device & had the coolant topped off before she could say another word. I walked into the cabin & explained to the owner what I had done. I offered her the receipt for the work & thanked her for her business. The next job was to repair a furnace. Although the two of us were doing air conditioning services, it was still winter. This furnace repair ended up being nothing more than a bad battery in the temperature control. I remembered how my professor regularly said to start at 1 point & work my way up. The owner was thrilled to realize it was just a simple repair, even though my educator was sad that I had found the problem separate from her help. Two years later, she was gushing that I was the best Heating, Ventilation & A/C tech she had ever trained. I remembered rolling my eyes since I had only worked with him that first week. That’s when she asked myself and others for a date, & the rest was all history.
