I always believed that I suffered from seasonal and pet allergies. My mom told me that I never had any symptoms when I was younger, but I remember a lot of times when I had a runny nose and a sore throat for absolutely no valid reason at all. One time I had an asthma attack after visiting my uncle and his new dog. I tried to remind my Mom of these things when I told her that I have allergies. I 100% absolutely know for sure after spending the weekend with my girlfriend and her dog. My girlfriend and I have been dating for about six months, but this weekend was the first time that I stayed overnight. It was dog hair and pet dander all over the bed and the sheets and I started coughing and sneezing in the middle of the night. My whole face was swollen in the morning and I could barely breathe. I thought I was having some kind of allergy attack, so I decided to take a Benadryl. I scheduled an appointment with the doctor a few days later and he confirmed my suspicions. The doctor said there is no other reason for the symptoms and reaction. The woman suggested buying a small portable air purifier for flare ups and problems. From now on, I have to take an air purifier with me whenever I plan to spend the night with my girlfriend. I found a small portable air purifier that works very well. I use it at home from time to time when the seasonal allergies are really bad. My mom still thinks I’m crazy.
