Every year, as my HVAC system gets older, I brace myself for the worst case scenario.
The HVAC system wasn’t young when I purchased it, so as the years tick by, the HVAC equipment becomes more fragile. One of the best ways that I can care for my HVAC system is having it serviced by an HVAC professional. I like to have it serviced by an HVAC professional at least twice per year, but sometimes I can squeeze in one or two extra appointments for random repairs. Last year, I made the decision to join my HVAC company’s annual HVAC maintenance plan because it made the most sense financially. All I had to do was pay a one time, annual fee and it covered so much! I would receive two tune ups, a discount on all parts and labor, and I would get priority scheduling. Priority scheduling meant that I could get an appointment whenever I wanted because my name would automatically be put at the top of the list. I also didn’t have to pay for emergency fees. Considering the age of my HVAC system and the decreasing efficiency, it made a lot of sense for me to join the annual HVAC maintenance plan. Ever since joining, I haven’t experienced any major issues with my HVAC system and I’ve saved a lot of money on parts and repairs. I’m able to continue running my HVAC system at an affordable cost and put off having to replace it right away.
