Last night, I fell asleep on the sofa in the kitchen after enjoying a movie. I believe I was fatigued because I slept through the entire night. Usually, when I fall asleep in the kitchen, I would eventually make my way to my family room, but that didn’t happen last night. Anyway, as part of my nightly routine, I adjust the temperature on my temperature control to my ideal sleep temperature, which is 80 degrees. If I am not sleeping, the temperature control is set to 74 degrees, which might sound a bit high, but it’s surprisingly pretty comfortable during the day. Well, because I skipped my nightly routine, my temperature control was still set to 74 degrees. So, this morning I woke up plus I was drenched in sweat. I believe that the air conditioning did not cycle on during the night because the temperature control was set so high. While this was a random happening, it made me consider getting a programmable temperature control. With a programmable temperature control, I wouldn’t have to manually adjust it every night because it would already be programmed that way. The set it plus forget it feature of a programmable temperature control makes all the difference. It’s one less thing that I would need to consider when going to bed or when I wake up in the morning. And if I fell asleep on the couch, I wouldn’t wake up in a complete sweat because my cabin was so warm. There are more benefits to having a programmable temperature control, but I believe the set it plus forget it feature is perhaps the best one.
