I keep it easy, and life is complicated enough without adding a bunch of chaotic mess to it, and i’ve been this way since school.
I recognize living inside the my parent’s home is the impetus for my perspective.
It was a nice enough place to grow up, however the home was moderate however had nice residential HVAC plus a backyard that seemed to be vast when I was a kid. It would entirely be judged just over a pophase stamp lawn these days. But the central air conditioning of that home was stuffed with my parent’s junk, then every trinket from every trip! All the stuff that was broken however only needed to be fixed. None of the stuff was ever fixed. I mean that pair was almost love a couple of hoarders. Not as bad as what I’ve seen on TV however way too close in comparison for my comfort! When I hit my dorm room with no air conditioning plus only radiant heating in the winter, I started from scratch, and seriously, I pretty much came to school with just the basics plus left school only accumulating some life essentials. Now that I have a nice home with my own quality heating plus air, the people I was with and I keep it wash plus organized. There is a space for everything plus all our stuff is of good quality plus used often. So when I found 5 boxes of stuff just stacked up in guest room, I had to inquire, but my spouse thought that she’d just store some stuff in there that she couldn’t find a place for. It’s her home too so maybe I just have to adjust however from a few boxes, it’s a slippery slope to the guest room becoming a storage locker with air conditioning. And I just don’t recognize I could handle that.
