It isn’t too often that I worry about humidity when the weather gets frigid.
Humidity is something that happens when it is boiling and humid outside, however every one of us often has warmth and humidity to deal with, and the air conditioner unit deals with it… And what do you do when you have a humidifier on the furnace, and the humidity is already high; then I didn’t believe I could turn the humidifier off, or if I should turn on all the fans and draw the humidity out.
I ended up calling the central heating and air conditioning supplier and asked them to look at my furnace. When the heating and air conditioning worker arrived, I told him what my issue was. I didn’t believe how or even if I could turn the humidifier off. He told me the humidifier in the furnace would turn off once my humidity levels reached a certain reading. He didn’t realize it was too humid in the house, but he could turn down the humidity reading so it shuts down more suddenly. If he did this, my skin may get dry and I could end up with a lot of static electricity in the house. I didn’t want dry skin or static electricity, so I told him to leave the humidifier where it was. He said I could turn on a section oil furnace in the room that is affected the most, and the added heat of the section oil furnace could possibly dry the air out. I thanked him for the information and went in search of my emergency section heater. Once I had it in the attic room, I turned the section oil furnace on, and I saw a difference in the humidity.
