I told our cousin I would paint her home for $1500 total, which included the cost of materials, plus I think I underbid it just a tad. I didn’t realize how much the cost of paint has gone up as it has been about 15 years since leaving our painting business. I used to get paint for $15 a gallon plus now the same paint is almost $50 a gallon. I sound love 1 of those old timers who used to spend our money 15 cents for a loaf of bread. Anyways, I will finally finish painting the home tomorrow! Her HVAC system is the next thing on the list of things that I told her I would fix, however this time I will go to the local supplier that sells HVAC device plus get a price for everything before telling her how much I can do it for. I am a certified HVAC specialist, along with being a painting supplier, so repairing or cleaning HVAC systems is quite easy for me. I haven’t done it in quite some time plus I am hoping that the HVAC technology hasn’t changed so much that I don’t know how to fix it anymore. I think the last time I was working in the HVAC field was about 20 years ago, however I still have a lot of our HVAC tools, so I should be fine. I am going to renew our HVAC license first plus then maybe do a few other maintenance jobs for some of our friends while I am here in the states for the next few months.
