I hired a lawn crew because I didn’t want to own the equipment and waste time mowing my own grass.
I figured they would mow, trim shrubs, edge and pick up any debris.
Turns out these guys are horrible. I have timed them and they do my lawn in 12 minutes. The one guy gets on the mower and whips around my yard at top speed. It ticks me off how quickly he moves because he makes mistakes. He frequently is blowing debris into my flowers and has run over my plants before. I recently got an expensive heat pump added to my house. It is a ductless unit so I have zone control. Every room has its own indoor air handler and thermostat. I can have heating in the bedroom but AC in the kitchen. I save money by not providing HVAC to unused rooms. The outdoor air compressor sits in a slightly different spot than my previous unit. I debated on warning my lawn crew but I figured they would see it. I was gone during lawn day and came back to my heat pump not working. It was making an odd noise and nothing was coming out of my vents. I then went outside and saw my outdoor unit had a giant dent in the side of it. The mower guy totally ran into my unit and just left. He never mentioned it to me. Well I will be calling them and they are paying for the heat pump repair. That system is too expensive to handle the cost on my own.
