Waiting for a/c repair

I got early to go on an eight mile run yeahterday morning.

I hoped to avoid the heat of the day.

The temperature still climbed into the eighties. The sun & humidity & lack of a breeze were brutal. It was a fantastic run, but by the end of it, I was sleepy & dripping sweat. I was honestly concerned to step inside our air conditioned home & cool off. I was absolutely looking forward to our shower. I immediately realized that there was a problem. The home felt boiling, & I didn’t hear the a/c running. I checked the control equipment & discovered that the indoor temperature had already risen up to 69 degrees. I fiddled with the settings, tried increasing the batteries & even updated the a/c’s filter. Nothing worked. I finally called our common Heating & A/C corporation & explained the problem. They told myself and others they would send someone over. I was relieved until I realized that I was literally dripping with sweat. I didn’t quite dare jump into the shower with a worker on the way. I didn’t want to be in the middle of shampooing our hair when he knocked on the door. I should have realized that service corporations never show up immediately. I ended up waiting around for nearly more than one hours. I was smelly & felt disgusting. The workers finally arrived, took the equipment apart & checked the multiple components. Fortunately, it was a minor repair, & he was able to service it in under an hour. The think of cool air pouring from the vents was such a pleasure. As soon as the service van pulled out of our driveway, I took a cold shower.
