Tear down plus not allowing any heat

Anyday now my fiance plus I are going to gut our family room; Demo afternoon is slowly approaching plus I am preparing. All of us are going to add a plastic sheet in the family room to limit the amount of dust. All of us are only going to use the side family room door so no other dirt is tracked through the house. It is our hope to limit the amount of clean up afterwards. All of us also have talked about closing the vent in the family room plus getting no Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C. Since it is winter, that means no heating. I assume I can bundle up plus tear down a family room separate from heat. I assume I can sand plus mud separate from any heating system use too. The reason for not allowing any heat is not for money savings. I don’t want my heating system to run while there is dust flying around since it will suck it up into the system. Then my HVAC duct will be totally coated with drywall dust plus debris from the tear down, and when the project is done plus I run my Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system, the dust will fly from room to room plus dirty all my surfaces. It also will pollute my indoor air conditions. It is much smarter to seal everything up, clean plus then enjoy the whole apartment heating effect. Those few tear down afternoons separate from a heating system are going to be hard though. That room is actually going to get cold. It is going to make that already horrible task even more unpleasant. That is for sure.
