When my fiance and I first purchased our home, we couldn’t stop talking about all the plans that we had for it.
We were recently engaged after 5 years of dating and we were already talking about our plans for starting the family. We did not want to wait, we have been talking for the past 3 years about how we wanted to start a family together and now that we were about to be married we were ready to do that. Having our very first home was setting the foundation for our future. We were going through the home and looking at the walls and deciding where we would hang all of our pictures, where we would place the furniture, and we discussed the perfect place to set our indoor air purifier. It wasn’t until we got into the bathroom that we noticed the strangest thing. The heating and AC system was installed in the bathroom! We were truly wondering how in the world this had happened. Who would have installed an HVAC unit in the bathroom? When we talked to the realtor we had purchased the home from, she informed us that apparently the previous owners had some very strange habits. She mentioned that the husband had wanted to have the perfect AC system even in the bathroom. Apparently it helped him relax while he was doing his business. That would explain the 3 foot high air vents attached on both sides of the wall directly next to the toilet. My fiance and I were both really weirded out when we found out about this information. As a matter of fact the entire layout of the house was generally strange. We decided that we would do some renovations and remodeling to make the house more normal, despite the weirdness we were still very happy to have in our home.
