I have to say, our mother can be pretty stubborn at times.
When our father passed away, everything changed for her, and he used to take care of all the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C plan maintenance, & suddenly he wasn’t having anything done… They never went through the professionals because Mom regularly knew what he was doing, although he was not a certified professional.
Well, since he never believed in getting the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C maintenance done by the professionals, our mother believed it was an unnecessary expense. I tried to explain to his on multiple occasions that the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C maintenance had to be done. She wasn’t even increasing the air filters though, so I went there & started increasing the air filters for her. When I kept bringing up the topic about his calling up the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C experts to supply tune-ups for his Heating, Ventilation, & A/C, he said that I could take care of that for her. Well, I am not an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C expert & I told his that. I didn’t even know the first thing about completing a tune-up for the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment, but eventually, I had to insist when the air quality was becoming awful in his home. I thought the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C plan was going to put his in the grave early, & I was scared even thinking about that opening. I told his I would cover all the costs, so he didn’t have to worry, however by the time the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C professional finished with the tune-up & HVAC duct cleaning, the air quality in the cabin became considerably better, & it seems our mother is doing better now.
