My encounter with a shady heating dealer

The manager was very polite, he refunded the money and offered to explain more about heating and how to spot substandard units

I am a firm believer in hard work pays. I also believe that working with no rest makes one dull and unproductive person. I have been putting the work into my venture as I wish to see it grow. A lot of sleepless nights and stressful days. It has been a year since I left my well-paying day job to focus on my social venture. The venture entails empowering the marginalized community in the heating business. We select a few young people and offer free classes on how to become a professional heating technician. We then outsource them to the homeowner solutions organization where they are employed and eventually absorbed. Some of the practicals we conduct include heater maintenance and boiler repair. I had been through a series of stressful weeks and was looking forward to taking a break. We had ordered some new HVAC units for our school but I was not pleased with the poor quality HVAC equipment I had received. This is because they could not provide quality heating. I phoned the heating dealer who had been assigned to us to request a replacement or a refund. The distributor was rude and even threatened to cancel the payment. Upon further investigations, we discovered that some of the other tools such as the wifi thermostat and the geo heat pump were not functioning. I visited the store and raised my complaint. Apparently, the distributor had been fired six months ago but was still using his company ID to sell substandard units. The manager was very polite, he refunded the money and offered to explain more about heating and how to spot substandard units. He convinced me to purchase the new and improved gas furnace and the boiler. He assured me of their efficiency.
