A couple of years ago, we did something smart to help with the energy costs. We invested in solar panels for our home. The solar panels collect sunlight during the day and the energy is stored for use in our home. The solar panels really help cut the costs of heating and cooling our home. They were a significant investment up front, but we had a couple of government subsidies that helped with the fees. Around here, there are huge bonuses if you have solar energy. Even local businesses use solar energy to help defer the costs of heating and cooling. It’s not unusual to see miles of farms followed by fields of solar panels.
