For some time, I’ve worked under some of the best photographers in the country.
Most of our work entailed traveling to fabulous locations. I loved my job, and my boss was determined to mentor me in the business workings. My goal had always been to work in the industry for some time then open up a photography studio back home. I knew mum was counting the days until I went back home. We rarely saw one another due to the nature of my work. Finally, the day came to leave my job and venture out on my own. My mum was happy to help me find the right location for the studio. After getting one, we went to work fixing it up and installing a new central heating and cooling unit. Unlike the places I’d frequented before, the home was a different matter. It was cold for most of the year, and we needed a heating unit. Otherwise, it would be impossible to do any work. I found a great HVAC business near the studio and got in touch. It turns out the owner was my former classmate in high school. She got me a list of the best air conditioners and helped me decide on the right one. The photo studio wasn’t big, so we opted to start with a small heating system. The new AC was affordable and had the energy-efficient features that I wanted. The goal was to keep costs as low as possible, including HVAC installation fees. Mum was delighted to see the progress and surprised me by paying for the AC unit set up and maintenance plan. I was so happy because it meant I could top up the air conditioner plan with a 24-hour emergency repair package. Whenever the AC broke, an HVAC technician would immediately repair it no matter what time it was.
