The Winter weeks are our absolute preferred; Living in a sizzling temperature, I get tired of the unbearable heat that plagues our part for most of the year! For the multiple weeks when Winter arrives, I am in pure paradise, but i spend the majority of our time outside, enjoying a brisk run, bike ride or hike in the nearby park.
In the Summer weeks, I’m usually cooped up inside of our beach home resting as close as I can to an air vent to suppose some cool a/c, and at the same time, there are some days where things can get a bit cold.
At these times, I am so grateful for our heater, which I could not live without during those especially cold days. Since I do live in a sizzling location, I don’t use our heating system for the majority of the year, which is both a blessing & a curse. It’s great that I can save money by not having to crank our heat up during most of the winter, but not using it often means there is a higher opportunity of the heating system facing problems in the winter. For instance, last winter, after not having used our heating system for 9 weeks, the unit quickly would not function, having run into a complex mechanical issue. I had to call up a local Heating & Air Conditioning company to come in & take a look… The issue took a week to solve, in which I had to sleepover at a friend’s location! Needless to say, our heating system is great when functioning!
