Last week, I was having some complications with my furnace.
I called the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C business and I told them about the noises it was making along with the lack of heating.
They said they had no openings for an appointment for a couple days, but when they had an opening, they would call me back. Every time the phone rang, I ran to answer it. I didn’t want to miss the phone call from the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C business. It was nearly a month before I heard anything back from them. They wanted to set up an appointment for the following afternoon. I had no problem taking the appointment. I worked from home because of the pandemic. I could be there at any time when they may have an appointment open and I did not want to miss out on the repair. When I finally got an HVAC tech to my house, he took one look at the furnace and told me it would only take a little while to get the furnace repaired. Three hours later, he was still barely working on the furnace and he couldn’t even tell me anything about what was wrong with it. I went downstairs to see if there was something I could do to help get the job done quicker, and he was just resting on the floor eating his dinner. I couldn’t help but stare. I wanted to know exactly what he was doing. He wasn’t working on the furnace like he was supposed to, and it didn’t look like he even took it apart. I called the HVAC company while I was still sitting on the stairs. They apologized for the technician’s behavior and told me to stay where I was and they would send out another HVAC contractor to repair the furnace.
