My home office is always a little chillier than the rest of the house. There are two air vents that connect to the central HVAC system, but for some reason my office is difficult to keep warm. The only reason I can think that this room would be cooler than the others is because the office is right beside the front door. My husband has sealed and resealed the front door and the windows in my office, but there hasn’t been a significant change in temperature. Since I couldn’t do anything about the low temperatures, I decided to purchase a space heater, which worked well for me. The space heater did heat up quickly, but it was only able to heat a small portion of my office. I kept the space heater under my desk in order to keep my feet warm, but anytime I moved from that spot, the room was icy cold. After complaining about the issue for far too long, my husband and I came up with a different solution. We’d read about ductless mini split systems and decided to give it a try. In our research we noticed that the ductless mini split system was affordable and easy to install. Thankfully, my husband had it secured on the wall above my desk within an hour. Once it was plugged in, I turned on the heat and it instantly started pushing out warm air into my office. The ductless mini split system was the most affordable and efficient way to keep my office warm.
