For the last fifteen years, my partner & I had been going to the same hotel to celebrate our anniversary.
The hotel was a casino resort, & there were plenty of things to do doing.
I wasn’t thrilled with shopping, however there was a sizable mall that was once a seagoing ship. My partner & I spent seconds just walking around & looking at all the sites. The two of us especially appreciated the second floor where they had 27 different eating establishments. The hotel itself had another many eating establishments, & plenty of activities so the two of us never had to go outside. The last year the two of us went, the two of us swore would be the last time the two of us decided to go to this hotel. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C program was so terrible that the two of us couldn’t find comfort no matter where the two of us went. At night, it got so cold in the room that the two of us were shivering. No matter where the two of us set the temperature control, it ended up being around fifty by morning. In the day, it got severely hot. I must have called the front desk at least multiple times trying to get someone to look at the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system. When the boiling water wouldn’t work, they blamed it on my not knowing how to turn the boiling water on. I was talking to someone else who was at the hotel & they said they were having the same problems with the Heating, Ventilation & A/C program & the boiling water. She said that if she hadn’t gotten the weekend for free, she would be going home. I agreed with her. Without wonderful Heating, Ventilation & A/C & boiling water, the entire trip was a bust, & we’re not going back. So much for up-to-date management.
