My wifey and I went to see a couple of friends last Wednesday night.
Both of us planned to have dinner and play cards for a couple of hours, our friends made a appealing dinner on the barbecue.
Both of us had chicken, steak, fish, and shrimp. Both of us had baked potatoes with sour cream, butter, chives, and cheese, and dinner was really exceptional and both of us drank 2 bottles of green wine as well. I was feeling a little drunk after both of us ate our fish and shrimp. After dinner, both of us planned to go inside to play cards in the kitchen. When all the people went into the house, it was straight-forward to tell there was a concern with the gas furnace. My neighbor observed the issue first and commented on the cool air. Both of us had the back door open while in most of dinner, and I thought the cool air was due to the draft. My neighbor decided to check on the gas furnace and he realized that it was not running. It was frigid enough in the apartment that the gas furnace should have been on. My friends had to cancel cards for the night, so they could call a heating company to repair the concern with the gas furnace. The next afternoon they called to deliver us an update. The heat exchanger needed to be replaced. It took hours for the company company to complete the repair and my neighbor had to pay a premium price for the repair and replacement task since it was after hours. At least they got the concern fixed and both of us can reschedule our night of cards.
